I was just able to take a photo of the Christmas presents my kids made for family members this year. Sissy (5) did the heart ornaments and Bubba (3) did the gingerbread ornaments. They were plain white plaster ornaments from Joann's fabrics (very inexpensive at about a quarter a piece) The kids painted them and then slathered them with all sorts of glitter. (won't grandma be happy! :)
While those were drying we headed outdoors to take advantage of all the snowy weather here in Oregon lately!

Sissy made a snow angel, while I pretended to be a professional photographer and snapped a couple shots of the roses in our front yard. Yeah, it's blurry and out of focus, but I was happy to see the bright colors peeking out from all the snow. And if you look really close you can see that the second petal on the front right side is clearly in focus..........as that was the petal I was most moved by, and felt I had to capture it as the sole focus of the piece.............. and you'll notice that it really lends a dramatic mood to the entire photo..........sort of like a love story.........an ancient Japanese love story set in the valley of the majestic Mt. Fuji...........

Ahem, .....anyway......I know huh!!!.....roses in December, they must be genetically altered or something right, my thumb is definitely not green, but aren't roses supposed to be clipped back in the winter? Hmmmm......whose yard is this anyway?
Later the kids took turns sledding down the hill. We don't have a real sled of course, that would require foresight, and a diligent Mother who checks the weather. Dilligent, NO? But Resourceful? YES!
Believe me! They were happy as clams slidding down the hill in the dumptruck, and the rubbermaid lid I tore off from the garage. Seriously. No one was injured, and lots of fun was had by all!

Anyone else get some photos of their kids Christmas crafts or some fun Winter Weather shots??
