We've been extra busy on our Homeschooling blog, and since this one has a Christian Lesson that you can use in your classroom as well, I figured I'd better post about it over here too!
Last week we made these really neat Red Heart Robins, and worked on the lesson of God's love, and his gift of providing for us. If you want… Continue

If you're looking for a cute little Valentine's Day gift you can send your children home with, don't forget to check out ChristianBook.com, they have fantastic deals on Christian books and educational resources. Today I found this set of 10 Board books for only $7.99 (That even beats the dollar store). The books are published by Zonderkids, and have a great Christian undertone to them. (The secret valentine is the child's grandmother), and the books are just the right size for children to carry… Continue

I just found this video on GodTube.com and knew that ya'll would love to teach this song to your children this Christmas. If you watch closely, you can pick up the hand movements too! It's a very simple song, great for all age levels.
For those of you, who like me, are not even close to finished Christmas Shopping, I wanted to do a quick post and tell you about one of our favorite toys at our house.....Creation Globes! They are played with on a daily basis, and the children never seem to tire of taking them apart and putting them back together again.
In fact, my kids love the… Continue

I was just able to take a photo of the Christmas presents my kids made for family members this year. Sissy (5) did the heart ornaments and Bubba (3) did the gingerbread ornaments. They were plain white plaster ornaments from Joann's fabrics (very inexpensive at about a qua… Continue

This is a little craft we did today, using a bit of sandpaper and some old crayons. This is something really simple to put together for a lesson, and children love to rearrange their sandpaper shapes into new designs. You could easily use the sandpaper idea for whatever lesson you're working on......Hearts would be great for "Jesus Loves Me", Waves would be good for Moses or Noah stories, Flame shapes good for Elisha, or Moses, or the Firey Furnace and Long Ro
Okay, so check out that video! This is such an adorable way to alter a plain old composition notebook. I was really excited to find this tutorial because Sissy is using one of these notebooks for her Bible Verses and Story Writing. So I couldn't help but doctor hers up a bit to make it more fun and special to write in.

Well, I must say that first of all....no we're not pregnant.......and no this wasn't a planned addition to our family. This was a "Look Mom, free kittens" type of addition, the kind that takes place on the corner of the street one afternoon, when you just can't pass up the adorable face of a 3 week old little girl kitten....one you've already picked a name for back when you were 5 years old......You know, that kind of Addition.....the kind that says, "Guess what we got Daddy"… Continue
This week we headed outdoors for a little preliminary "Adventure" before we officially start up Homeschooling next week. The kids picked up some sticks, Moss, and Bubba even picked a few flowers (shhhhh....) to take home and make Nature Journals with. Ever since I saw this video, I've been wanting to do this craft with the kids, I knew both of them would love the idea of making a stick book, and the materials were minimal so it was a Win-Win. This demonstration is by Susan Kapuscinski Gaylord an… Continue
