We are a mishpachah (family) of four. My husband and I just celebrated four years of marriage and enjoy growing our two little girls, ages 1 1/2 and 3 1/2.
Both my husband and I were raise with protestant Christian backgrounds, but decided to raise our children with a Messianic/Jewish identity and culture when our first daughter was born. Our Little Blots page will be dedicated to homeschooling as our girls grow, but to follow our journey in the Messianic and Torah observant culture, visit our MySpace page. Shalom!
Shalom achoti,
I pray that all is well with you and your household. I came across your page while searching for lessons topics that teach Torah. I am in the process of opening my Pre School Academy and am looking for lesson plans that are Torah Based. Looking forward to hearing from you.
I meant to come by and see you sooner,-- ah well... life!
I read below about you going to PDX with your daughter.. I have to go with mine to PDX also-- she needs a check up with the kidney Dr--
I will be doing some praying for you and yours relating to your PDX trip... ---
Let me know how it goes!
I will keep your little one in prayers. Keep me posted and please let me know if there's anything I can do to help. That must be stressful for you all.
I haven't used HOW, but I hear good things about it. I think my hs group leader uses it, she uses a Biblical roots approach to their schooling alot. I can give you her email if you'd like to ask her questions about HOW. One thing I couldn't grasp is what age they start with in their program? Or does each unit study have lessons for all age groups? I would love to incorporate their studies into our school, but wasn't sure about the age thing. Our school is most deffinately Scripture based in every subject, so it would be a great way to add more depth for us.
I'm so excited you're homeschooling your girls! What a wonderful adventure your whole family is in for!

Hi, I would be very interested, too. We just did one about Florida (we used the Hands of a child, but I wasn´t too happy with it). Did you see the "general "State Lapbook here http://www.homeschoolhelperonline.com/lapbooks/state.htm
