Aninha,
It was so nice to hear from you. That song (God is watching over me) is constantly in my head too, it's a catchy tune.
To answer your question, I haven't "officially" started homeschooling yet since my little guy is only 2 yrs old I'm pregnant with #2 - expecting in June. I'm spending most of my time researching homeschool sites and saving free information. I have to collect as much as I can get for free, since we won't be able to afford to buy packaged curriculum. But the more I research, the more I'm coming to the realization that it actually can be done (and is possibly better) to put something together yourself with all the resources available, than to use a curriculum out of a box. I look forward to starting "officially", but I don't want to start to soon, because I think these first years are so important - I'd rather see my son run and play and explore and develop his motor skills than try to force him to learn ABC's (even though I would tell him what the letters are when he shows an interest).
I have found some great Bible based curriculums out there, but most cost money. I think we're going to have to keep putting it together ourselves if we want to build it into a curriculum and incorporate it into the other subjects.

I just found another great site that has Bible story worksheets that run through the entire Bible (but I do think it is meant for older kids). I've been saving the PDF files of these worksheets for future use.

Also some lesson plans in other languages.

Right now I'm slacking a bit because of the pregnancy and I have to rest a lot, but fortunately my son is a really easy 2 yr old. He enjoys cuddling in bed with me and watching educational programs.

Ana, I'm so glad you found that site helpful. Actually English isn't my first language either. We're from South Africa (Dutch-GermanFrench-mix). Interestingly, the TouchOfFire site is done by a gentleman in South Africa (I just recently discovered this).

I'm always looking for Bible based activities. I like to incorporate learning language, alphabet, numbers, "science", math, etc into Bible based activities for a stronger foundation, rather than seperate subjects that have little connection with the Bible.

Anyway, I found this other website that has coloring pages to go along with Bible Verses. You may be interested in it.

I saw your request for a song to start the morning. For my little ones, we start the day with Bible time in circle time fashion. I taught in a Christian School prior to having children and use the song with my children that I used at school.
To the tune of 'Frera Jaqua" (Are you sleeping?) we sing:

Come and worship,
Come and worship,
Father, Son,
Father, Son,
And the Holy Spirit,
And the Holy Spirit,
Three in One,
Three in One.

Pretty basic. You could also sing(tune is Happy Birthday):
Good morning to you,
Good morning to you,
Good morning, dear (child's name)
Good morning to you.

HTH!!

Blessings,
Jasmine
