Hi! I'm new to this, but I thought it might be a way to get more ideas. Just learned about lapbooking too. This has been a great way to link the kids education while letting them do what is appropriate to their age.
Welcome to the group! Yes, we hope this site will provide some ideas and resources you can use for teaching your children......or at least spark a creative idea for another way to do it :)
We love lapbooking, too. My daughter has found a way to turn just about anything into a lapbook :) Good thing file folders are cheap.
Our family is working on your penguin lapbook now. The older kids 4 + 5 grade made mulitiplication and division flashcards. Also they'll write their own poem. We made snow penguins and took pictures to add. Also they will do a section on anatomy of a penguin. This has help the younger kids get involved leaving it simple for them ages 3- 7. Thanks for letting people use this idea.
Your most welcome, you have no idea how exciting it is that people are able to use the resources! Honestly it warms my heart to know that little children all over are using them and learning with them.
I know that I don't include a lot of "lesson" type of stuff, I'm way better at making the printable stuff that's why I'm sticking to the younger ages at the moment...that and my 5 year old daughter is behind all the topic choices, lol.
Perhaps as she grows, I'll make more involved lapbooks, or at least offer expansions to the current ones :) Ah, so many ideas, so little time!
Hi,
I love your web site! I found it when searching for Sunday school ideas for 4-5s. Thank you for all the inspiring ideas. I also use them when working with a small group of special needs adults. GLT
