Over the past couple of years we've received lots of requests to offer printable resources and activities for older children, those in the K-5 age range.

And since my daughter is now 6, I find myself making more and more resources that don't exactly fit the theme of our Preschool Site.

So in order to share the printables and resources that we make I started a general site for K-5 bible printables. It's called BibleStoryPrintables.com and it's still new so there are just a couple of things up there right now.

For now the focus of the site will be:

Bible Coloring Pages
Bible StoryBoards
Bible Timelines
Bible Copywork
Bible Games

In addition, I'm looking for ideas for things you'd like to see for this site...what kinds of printables are helpful to you for teaching this age level? I'm considering Sunday School Forms and Handouts, but I really have no idea where to start!

So please leave me a comment below, and let me know what kinds of printables would be most useful to you...don't be shy!

(And don't worry, I've still got a preschooler at home, with another baby on the way, so I will still continue to add resources and printables to CPP along the way....when I'm not changing diapers! LOL

Blessings,

Valerie

Valerie,

The Easter story pictures were so well received that I'd like to suggest more stories like the Easter story:
-simple pictures e.g. the tomb, judas, angels, Jesus in front of the tomb for the resurrection.
-pictures did follow Scripture- so these could be used for....
-sequencing the story
-large pictures. Our room has a wall with felt on the lower section. The large pictures can be laminated, then velcro attached to the back of the pics. The kidscan use these during free time to 'practice reading' the story.

Our class is doing parables now. Some of the stories coming up are:

Lost sheep
the Sower and the seeds,
Build the house on the rock
Lost Coin There are so many parables! I guess the artist doing the visuals will be creative in designing the pictures for them.

John's baptism of Jesus. This week one of my devotions gave a thought I had not considered before. As Christ also began to baptize His followers, John the Baptist showed a very mature way of looking at the growing number of Jesus' followers. This quote is from that devotion:

"People who can set aside selfish ambition and genuinely seek the good of others have an attitude that pleases God. Do you remember how John the Baptist reacted when the crowds left him and began following Jesus? He said, 'He must increase, but I must decrease.' " John 3:30

This idea reminded me of times that were difficult for me to 'cool it' and be happy when others were able to go forward. Perhaps a page of the story could show Jesus baptizing His followers with John on the bank of the river with a smile on his face - a smile of joy that more people are repenting and being washed clean for God's kingdom.

Some of the 4th and 5th graders may be able to grasp this concept. As when their friend gets a better grade on a test and they are able to be glad for their friend...

Other ideas -
Parting of the Red Sea
Walls of Jerico
Moses receiving the Ten Commandments
Stories of Christ appearing after His resurrection
Jesus' first miracle at Cana - making wine for the Wedding
The good Samaritan
Daniel and the Lions' Den
Noah and the Ark

Christ presented at the temple with Simeon's and Anna's prophecies. Luke 2:1-40 Then pictures of the times their prophecies were fulfilled.

There are so many stories from which to select! And I believe you'll select and create stories with pictures that can be used to spread the Gospel. May God bless you and your creativity!

Valerie,

I am looking for the Greatest Commandment hearts as I love this activity! Can you tell me how to navigate this site to find them? I need them by Saturday.

Thanks,

Kym

Hello!

We usually have children who haven't heard about God and don't know much about the Bible. Printable about the Bible, the ten commandments, adam and eve, the first days of creation, and heaven would be VERY helpful! If any one has an idea or a web site to where I could find something similar, that would be wonderful!
